Introduction
Daili Value ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account
- Profile Information: Bio, avatar photo, your fitness goal, the food culture you tell us you usually eat, and any health topic tags you choose to add to community posts
- Health & Wellness Data: Information you provide to wellness features, such as daily check-ins, symptoms, and health topic tags you add to community posts (see "Health Information" below)
- Content: Photos, posts, comments, and other content you create and share
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used and time spent
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Process your account registration and manage your profile
- Enable social features like following, liking, and commenting
- Provide AI-powered nutrition analysis and recommendations
- Send important updates about your account or the service
- Improve and personalize your experience
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, which provides enterprise-grade security measures. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Authentication and database services
- RevenueCat: Subscription and payment processing
- OpenAI: AI-powered analysis. Where the app refers to "our analysis service," that service is OpenAI. To generate nutrition insights we may send the following to OpenAI for processing: food photos and descriptions; meal and check-in summaries; recent chat messages you typed and workout logs, when you use prediction and insight features; product ingredient lists, barcodes, label photos, and product names you check with the Label Lie Detector; dish names you ask Cuisine Upgrade to make healthier; symptoms you provide, plus your fitness goal (for example, lose weight), its eating plan, your age, and your activity level when you turn on personalized guidance, so meal and exercise feedback can be tailored; the food culture you tell us you usually eat, when you set it in your profile. OpenAI does not use this data to train models that serve other users.
Health Information
Some features analyze health-related information you choose to provide, including daily check-ins and symptoms.
- Your control: Right after you sign in or create an account, the app shows one full-screen agreement listing what can be sent and who it goes to, with "Agree & Continue" and "Decline" options. One agreement covers every AI feature. If you decline, no data is sent to OpenAI; you are signed out and asked again the next time you sign in. Deleting your account removes your saved data as described below.
- Not medical advice: AI analysis is for general educational purposes only and is not a medical diagnosis or a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, and similar laws in other states. - Non-discrimination: we will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app Export My Data or Delete Account options, or email hello@dailivalue.com. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your account and respond within the timeframe required by your state's law (generally 45 days). You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will require proof of the agent's authorization. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review the appeal.
HIPAA Notice
Daili Value is a consumer wellness app. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and we are not a "covered entity" or "business associate" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This means the health-related information you share in the app is not protected health information under HIPAA. Instead, it is protected by this Privacy Policy and applicable consumer privacy laws. We treat your health-related information as sensitive data: it is encrypted in transit and at rest, used only to provide the features you request, and never sold or used for advertising.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as it is needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:
- Account information (email, display name, profile, fitness goal, and preferences): retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Content you create (photos, posts, comments, likes): retained for as long as your account remains active, or until you delete the individual item.
- Usage and device data: retained for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- After account deletion: all of your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, tax or transaction records), which are kept only for the period required by law and then deleted.
How to Delete Your Data
Before deleting, you can download a copy of everything using Export My Data in Edit Profile. You can delete your data and your account at any time. You have two options:
- In the app: Open the app, go to your Profile, tap Edit Profile, and select Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated personal data.
- By email: Send a deletion request to hello@dailivalue.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will verify your identity and permanently delete your account and personal data within 30 days.
Once your data is deleted it cannot be recovered. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups are cycled out, after which it is permanently removed.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
