Frequently Asked Questions
What is Daili Value?
Daili Value is a nutrition tracking app that combines meal logging with social features. Log meals by photo, text, or barcode, pick a fitness goal, get AI-powered feedback from Daili, and connect with others working toward similar goals.
How do Meal Ideas, My Recipes, and Social Recipes work?
Meal Ideas provides goal-based suggestions and a Create recipe action. Daili uses a real public YouTube recipe description as inspiration, writes an adapted recipe with complete ingredients and cooking steps, and considers your configured nutrition goals and food culture. Choose a category after creation to save it in My Recipes. Inspiration links identify the source; the adaptation is Daili-created, not the creator's original or a guarantee of authenticity. My Recipes is your private saved collection for both created and imported recipes. Social Recipes provides public YouTube search and shared-link intake. Recipe websites with readable published recipe data and complete YouTube descriptions can be imported. Other social links may be inaccessible; accepting a link does not guarantee extraction. Unavailable or incomplete imports show an explanation and are not saved. Video audio is not automatically transcribed. Daili does not download or rehost creator videos. In a saved recipe, use Swap beside an ingredient to preview a replacement, updated cooking steps, and estimated macros before confirming.
Can I adjust recipe portions before logging or planning?
Yes. A portion popup appears before both Add to meal plan and Add to food log. Use servings, rough hand portions, ounces by weight, or US cups for foods. Use US fluid ounces or cups for beverages. When the serving conversion is unknown, confirm a reference amount instead of assuming a density or hand size. Calories, macros, and goal alignment update with your portion. Both actions save the same estimated nutrition shown in the popup without another AI estimate. Changing a recipe later does not rewrite earlier plan or log entries.
Are recipe estimates exact, and are my saved recipes public?
Nutrition and suggested meal timing are educational estimates, not verified labels or medical advice. Check ingredient quantities, allergens, and preparation safety. Your My Recipes collection is private to your account and is not automatically shared with the community. Creator rights still apply to imported content. Search and AI usage allowances are shown in the app.
How do I create a post?
Tap the + button in the bottom navigation, take or select a photo of your meal, add a description and any tags you like (such as your cuisine or health topics), then share it with the community.
What's included in premium?
Premium unlocks AI nutrition chat with Daili, the Label Lie Detector for packaged foods, Cuisine Upgrade and insights on the Optimize tab, My Recipes nutrition estimation, advanced meal planning, and community features such as creating posts, liking, commenting, and saving. Feature availability, search and AI usage allowances, subscription prices, and any available trial offers are shown in the app.
How do I change my login email?
Go to Profile, tap Edit Profile, and use Change Email in the Account section. Follow the verification instructions sent by email. Your login email changes only after verification is completed.
How do I reset my password?
